My Philosophy Statement

I believe that every child can succeed and learn with the support and guidance of teachers that can see pass children’s circumstances and see their needs. To me there is nothing more rewarding, educationally, than when I see young children achieve milestones and growths both  academically and/or socially.   

I am committed to making my classroom a safe, healthy and challenging learning environment in which, clear high expectations and positive relationships are fostered as well as active learning is supported. To ensure that I meet all students’ needs I believe it is important to first build trusting respectful relationships to make students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their opinions, during class discussions and in cooperative learning groups. I believe I can motivate and inspire students to want to learn and keep them interested by making learning fun.   

It is very rewarding to me to be able to reach and teach young children; especially, children with challenges and diversities. I believe knowledge is power, therefore when my students are learning I feel as though I am empowering them to become productive, responsible, life-long learners.

I am committed to preparing students to be successful life-long learners, problem-solvers, and productive citizens through a positive, caring, nurturing and collaborative approach, where excellence is expected, uniqueness is celebrated and life principles are practiced.    

My Vision Statement

My classroom will be a positive community of learners where the individual needs of all students are met, successes are celebrated, and students build character and skills which will make them productive citizens both today and tomorrow.
