Attended the public schools of Gadsden County and graduated from James A. Shanks High School. Furthered my education at Florida A & M University with a M.S. in Public Administration and then the University of New England with a M.S.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction. 

I have been teaching 14 years.  Before teaching I worked in the University System for 9 years and in the private sector for 5 years.

I have lived in Gadsden County my entire life.  I changed my career to Education because this is a challenging, as well as, rewarding profession. Working as an educator allows me to give back to my community.  

My educational philosophy is one of being firm but fair.  I strive to create a cooperative community in the classroom.  This provides a model of the importance of mutual respect and cooperation among all community members.
